Dr. Alyssa Wier is a board certified general surgeon with additional fellowship training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. She is trained in robotic surgery and utilizes minimally invasive techniques for most abdominal surgical procedures. In addition to robotic sleeve gastrectomies, she performs a wide range of surgical procedures including cholecystectomy, hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery, colon and intestinal surgery, excision of skin and soft tissue lesions, and venous access port placement. Dr. Wier joined Baptist Medical Group in 2020 and performs sleeve gastrectomies at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto.
Dr. Daniel Fore is a board-certified surgeon with more than 15 years of experience evaluating and operating on patients in a caring environment in the Memphis, Tennessee and DeSoto County, Mississippi areas. He pursues minimally invasive/robotic techniques for abdominal surgeries, including bariatric surgery, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, reflux surgery, hiatal hernia repair, minimally invasive robotic surgery, soft tissue masses and cysts removal and other procedures. He is certified with da Vinci® Surgical System and has completed additional training and received Advanced Hernia Course accreditation. He joined Baptist Medical Group in 2020 and performs sleeve gastrectomies at Baptist Memphis.
Lisa Roach is the bariatric coordinator, facilitating the process of screening patient appropriateness for the program. She helps patients navigate through the insurance process and provides guidance, education, encouragement, and compassion throughout their weight loss journey. Lisa has been an LPN since 2006 and has more than a decade of bariatric patient care experience. Lisa joined Baptist Medical Group in 2021.
